Over 100 million Americans have tried it at least once, and now 13 states have legalized medical marijuana. Here is my, “contrary to popular belief” list 1. Mounting evidence has shown it is far less dangerous than alcohol and cigarettes, legal medicines, and even caffeine, yes thats right you can OD on coffee. 2. No person has ever overdosed on marijuana ever, not once in the history of the world. It is simply not toxic enough. 450000+ die each year from tobacco cigarettes, while a good 50000+ die from alcohol overdose. 3. Those high on marijuana are less likely to commit violent acts, not more likely. In fact, I watched a video on youtube about a British test where a man was given a marijuana joint to smoke and then was given a driving test. He performed better high. Marijuana actually makes you far more cautious 4. IT DOES NOT LEAD TO LUNG CANCER. A natural grown plant simply is not toxic enough to cause lung cancer 5. It does not kill brain cells. In fact, studies are showing that it may in fact STIMULATE brain cells. Read about it here www.sciencedaily.com 6. It is about as addictive as a peanut, and there are no withdrawl symptoms. I havent smoke in, lets see, one month tomorrow, and I have felt nothing wrong with me. 7. The gateway theory is false. If you watch Penn & Tellers bull****, numerous studies have shown that alcohol and cigarettes are far more likely to lead to hard drugs. I’ve never seen someone get in a fight because of smoking gong,but I have seen people fight multiple times because of alcohol.legalize it.

I agree completely with the sentiment but it has nothing to do with their religion. An individuals morals are seperate from their beliefs. Case-and-point, the crusades. Christians massacring Muslims for their religion or more recently Islamic extremists commiting acts of terrorism for a religious cause.

@shawnee2014 all of which can be minimalized or eliminated by a common vaporizer purchased at your local smoke shop. There are extreme health risks for tobacco smoking, yet its a legal and pleasurable act for many Americans. Marijuana smoking is less dangerous, and again can be made relatively harmless to physical health. As far as mental health goes- might it kill brain cells? maybe… alcohol consumption has been proven to do so overtime.

In a way i do want weed to be completely legalised for those who simply wish to use it, but i think the corporal fat cats and the government will try to commercialise with this plant so they can reap the profits in order to deal with the current financial climate =( Its sad…

I’m sorry, but I have got to respectfully disagree. This information is not some big secret. The facts are out there.
I don’t know what you think you saw, but I can say with 99 percent certainty that it wasn’t a weed overdose.
Passing out, or feeling sick is not an overdose.
For me to believe your story, I’d have to hear it myself from the hospital they went to, and what medicine you gave them to stop their mouth from foaming or start their heart beating again.
Depends on the person dude. Same as alcohol. One man can drink socially another man becomes a drunk.
