Lately I’ve been taking my workouts more seriously. I wanted to make sure I was using a healthy protein powder. Ruth’s is great so far, it’s a good value and it’s great that it’s 50% raw.
Quick recipe:
2 scoops of powder
12oz – 16oz of water
1Tbsp Agave
Juice of two limes.
Delicious!

We figured hemp protein powder is hemp protein powder. But we did see another review that said Ruth’s tasted better and had a nicer consistency to it. It was at a reasonably good price, so we got some when we got low on our previous brand. Ruth’s hemp protein powder really does taste better than our previous brand, and is much more subtle in fruit shakes than the other. This is a very good product and as a result we’ve switched brands to this one now – what else can I say?!

I mix this hemp protein with almond milk and it tastes good. I wouldnt say that it tastes great but its a good source of essential vitamins, minerals and other essentials. All the brands of Hemp protein are basically the same. The only difference i could see between this brand and the Living Harvest brand was that this brand came with a scoop. They both have the same texture and taste. Living Harvest is a little more costly though.

I’m sure this is fantastic protein powder, but I simply cannot find anything that I enjoy the overpowering flavor in, including multigrain bread or vegetable juice smoothies. I love Ruth’s other products, though, so I wonder why I have such a bad reaction to the ground seeds. The texture isn’t fantastic, there’s no ignoring the fact that you are drinking insoluble powder, but it doesn’t clump up or turn to sludge in my experience.
I’ll stick to Ruth’s hemp oil and rice protein if I’m looking for EFAs and vegetarian protein, I guess.

Ruth’s Hemp Protein has a higher protein content than other hemp proteins.
Hemp protein is more usable by the body than most proteins. Soy and whey are highly allergenic. Hemp is used well by most people.
It tastes somewhere between Good and ok. Mixes well in smoothies. Its filled with Omega 3 fats, plant nutrients, fiber etc.
This 2 for one sale plus free shipping makes it a fantastic deal.
